First week, first post, first open online course...!

Hi all!
This is my first blog ever and here I will post my reflections from the open networked course, ONL172.
During this first week we had our first webinar and right after our first PBL-group meeting. It was a lot of info to take in and process, a lot of new platforms and tools to get familiar with. Fun!

We have also made a presentation of our group and will present it to the rest of the ONL172-community as soon it´s ready.
 
Our group seems good and I think we are all eager to learn more about and from this course.
I know that the following weeks will be very interesting and I am excited to see what new experiences I will have after this course!

The actual reason why I took this course was because of the project that I am involved in, FOCUS , which aims to create open online courses in marine biotechnology and coastal tourism. I am convinced taking this course have inspired me to create good online courses. I have learned new things from the different scenarios during the different topics, by attending the webinars, participate in our group meetings and searching for more information online. Topic 3 - Learning in communities – networked & collaborative learning

Image  by  johnhain  is licensed under  CC0 1.0   The topic for these 2 weeks is collaboration and I thought it could be a good idea to start this blog post with a short reflection about our own collaboration in our PBL13-group. I think that our collaboration works very good and I think it has improved since the first topic. Even though we are a large group, where some are more active than others, I experience that everyone contributes to the work in their own way. Some of us can´t attend every online meeting, which is fine, but we all still contribute, when we discuss online or work in the FISh-document. When collaborating online, I think the synchronous and asynchronous work are equally important! When thinking and reflecting about online collaboration, I don´t think it differs that much from collaborating in real life. Topic 1 – Online participation and digital literacies

Hi all! I have written some reflections after these first two weeks with topic 1. Image: CC BY-SA Some rights reserved  by Martin420 Before I started to read anything related to topic 1, online participation and digital literacies, I considered myself as a digital native (Prensky, 2001). I pretty much grew up with a computer and using Internet. I think I started my digital journey when I was around ten years old, using computers in elementary school and at home. A lot of things I know today, I have learned mostly by trial and error and exchanging knowledge with friends and families.
